They want peace,prosperity,friendship, cohesion, and, yes, a European identity, that does not require the removal of independence or freedom
They don’t want another Napoleon, another WW 2, another Hitler, another Stalin, another Mussolini, another nuclear bombing.
But in the end the EU is made (and strives) to protect the peace that exists in Europe. To protect the very freedoms you claims they destroy
To stop pointless wars and feelings of hate that you seemingly harbor. Germany, France, and all others may want influence on the world stage
But nevertheless the EU wants a European identity. Independent nation’s have theirs as well, but bringing people together is the only way
Most countries are already NATO. Even if they aren’t, the EU still isn’t forcing (and I don’t expect it to) military compliance.
Washington DC or some figurehead, but the identity they have. EU protects Europe. Mostly from itself as of now,but is centralization so bad?
