When I worked retail I always made deals with everyone so I could avoid boxing day(in Canada it is like Black Friday).
As an Edmontonian I feel your pain. Bundle up if you have to go outside. Stay safe and warm over there.

Depending on where you live there will likely be local clubs for agility as well.
Further there are some decent resources on the net such as bad dog agility however they cater more to those more at the intermediate level.
Most major cities will have at least a couple of dog training schools. Some will have introductory courses into agility.
We have a bridge like this right in the middle of our downtown. 4 or 5 times a year an idiot will hit it and cause a 3 hour traffic jam.
Yeah getting the box is one element entirely on its own and that is even broken down into small elements when learning the first time.
If possible every dog should find a sport or work they enjoy. Be it flyball, search and rescue, comfort therapy etc. Dogs are born to help.
The crazy thing is the hours of training required to get to this point. We are just learning right now and it has taken a lot of work.

I have done both. I prefer picking up the dog poop to changing a litter box. Both have stinky poop but you never have to pick up dog urine.
Either or, honestly the key is being able to enjoy the crunch of a hard taco with the ease of a soft taco. Also refried beans are great.
