Humans only care what's in-front of them, if a problem appears then you fix it, not before (only in small scales). We have countless examples for this. We build something for example like a plane, it crashes, people die, then we look at it and see 'oh yeah if we had change this to that it wouldn't have crashed.' Well now it's fixed. Could have been prevented but nobody cared at that time.
