Lost my Dad on March 8th, we did his memorial on June 8th. I have been doing okay... Until this bleeping vid. It's over the top cheesy, and I was bawling by the time it ended. Thank you OP. I think I needed this.
I know we don't know every detail of every day of your marriage, but what you have provided here makes it very apparent that you did not fail. You were there for her as much as she wanted you to be. You tried at every turn to provide her with what she needed. You cannot "fix" her; you never could, so now it is time to move forward. You have more value than you give yourself credit for. Find a professional to talk to. Good luck, my friend. - a licensed therapist.
As a potential juror, it would absolutely be worth a contempt charge, even an assault charge, if I could throat punch him, just once...
Nortverse is fantastic!
I would totally eat from his cart!
Ah! Thank you, that makes sense.
#10 Can someone explain what I am missing?
me, too, OP
That makes sense
Huh. Okay, I thought Gen X preceded Millenials. So being included in the Millenial "umbrella" is any of the generations following Baby Boomers? Interesting take.
And where in all of this is Gen X? We got the short end of the stick thanks to Boomers, too.
what's BS to me, is that the neighborhood we bought our home over 20 years ago was annexed by a city on the north side from the larger metro to the south. Once that happened, the city itself became an HOA. Now, nosy neighbors can b!tch if they think your grass is too long, or if they think something is an eyesore in some way, and the city comes out and puts notice to comply or else you get a fine. I never agreed to this, I didn't agree to the annexation. Yet here we are.
...and then came Reagan and Trickle-down economics
Not sure, but I think the point is that the Governor said the abortion law would somehow eliminate rape. 26,000 rapes since the law passed appear to disprove that.
Don't speak to me of the ancient magics, I was there when the law was written (Gen Xer)
While I agree with you in principle, it should be noted that caring for someone like this when they can no longer take care of themselves may have as much or more to do with how someone like OP sees herself, and what kind of ethic they want to demonstrate for their own children.
That is a scary thought
Malort tastes like licking the streets of Chicago after the St. Patrick's Day parade.
Gods, what I would give to receive that letter!!
Sounds like polyamory to me, where is the confusion?
I am so sorry for your loss, OP. If they were your friends it wouldn't matter to them who your partner was. They would only see your pain and want to be there for you. Well, to hell with them. If you ever want/need to talk, pm me.
Not really, no.

#14 THIS! Seriously, NTs, stop begging your doctor for a prescription because you can't legally buy speed and you have 41 things you agreed to, because you want everyone to think you're some kind of superparent, or whatever! It's just speed for you folks, it's literally necessary for me to function like an average adult.
Can confirm; As a therapist I have done so before and I always discuss with the client beforehand.
Five years from now Biden will still be MUCH better than Trump.
