I feel like this is an intent of budget cutting to balance it, in the form of 'this looks like a stupid line on the budget, imma cross this one off. perfect, look at all that money saved now!' without any other real thought behind it. But we need our environment, that's not a problem money is going to magically fix...

JoCat. Took hiatus off the internet but seems to be dipping toes back in, albeit much more careful and actively trying to not draw much attention from what I've heard.
Urgh I need to do more Stellaris again. Every time I put it down its hard to pick it back up, but once im back playing it oops its been 6 hours this session

How many times has there been a 'gotcha, there's really a SECRET final boss!' though? And what if I just really need to suddenly craft some weird thing even though I almost never use the crating system? Sometimes it pays to be like '...fine, im not going through the last 3 hours of gameplay, i can part with 1 (one) of my 40 items that restores my whole party to max'

My problem with this is the Dems in a way throwing in with the few MAGA people behind it in the first place. It's sticking it to the Reps by taking out someone who was at least trying to compromise (however poorly probably) and accept the proposal of the MAGA-men to oust him. Granted if things shut down everyone in there should be fined each day a budget isnt passed; I get fired when I dont do my job, why should they be able to throw fits and kick cans and threaten civil servant paychecks?

Man this scene always haunted me. I don't even remember when or where I saw it but the sheer hunger, goofy drooling over the slice...it's terrifying thinking you can be so hungry and lack so much food that you need to ration it to that extreme
