Went trick or treating with my daughter for the first time last night. She was adorable, the pictures are priceless. And the highlight of the night was finally meeting the neighbors boxer I'd seen them walking for years.

Hoh rainforest. Most of the Olympic Peninsula looks and feels like you're on Endor. When you get to the rainforest, its got more of a Degobah feel to it.
I ran a game without dice. I just set a DC in modifiers. Either you have enough skill or talent to do a thing or you don't. Want to dance impressively , k, DC 5. Char+Dex mods + acrobatics if you have it. Don't make it to 5....

I dunno why that made me briefly happy, but it did....
When I was a kid I talked to a restaurant owner of an Indian food place. I asked him why he came to our country and opened a restaurant. He said "Because food makes everyone happy. You can't go to bed hungry and be happy, so I opened a restaurant." Thats stuck with me my whole life, and I try to live by the saying that there is always enough food at my table but you might have to bring your own chair.
In an episode of bake off, Noel complimented some ones shoes by stating he'd drink Bailey's from them. I thought it was the highest compliment that could have been offered.
Culinary art is still art. And is absolutely up there with poetry and painting.
