Wait, what? What did I do?

There's no place I can be / Since I found serenity / But you can't take the sky from me

What is this bright light? I have like 4hrs of slightly less dark skies and everything is covered in ice and snow

What's the deal with US Kinder eggs? Don't you get the surprise inside?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At first you were on the ship, then on the beach, I got concerned for the ship, but then you got back. Happy to see you're not shipwrecked

I had actually forgotten people sell things on ebay privately, I'm just drowning in all sorts of shops when I'm looking for something

Now you can aim for a office door with frosted glass and hand painted gold letters

It must hurt when all sorts of celebrities goes out against you like this, but then again, if you're a soulless husk, maybe not

You're prob right about that. Must be making a pretty $$ of the license I wager. Does Disney hold all rights to SW now, none for Lucasart?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What did Disney say? I was aware EU was looking into the gambling issue, but nothing about Disney.

Its Norway, bus driver missed the stop and decided to stop further down the road. Truck didn't break any laws.

claustrophobic, even if I knew there was no risk, just that feeling of being stuck inside got uncomfortable very fast. 4/4

my whole body inside, waiting for No2, but he caught his SCBA on something, so I had to wait, and wait.. And wait.. Damn thing got real 3/?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No2 has to be pulled by No1, you can't wiggle much due to the SCBA set, so it's not something you can manage alone. I was no1, and I got 2/?

Did a similar thing on my smokediver training, long narrow pipe where only teamwork gets you through. No1 has to be pushed by no2, then 1/?

Going down in a fiery blaze with Bismarck

Approach to Malacca isn't so bad, Horsburgh side is more hellish.. Luckily I was on a road train down that highway

calculations, navigation and so on. Bugs me I've never done a great circle since the academy, nor any celestial stuff 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True. I think my academy was a bit stuck in the past though, I did learn how to do manually what computers do for us now. Like loading 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you get that feeling that you didn't really learn what you need to know at the academy yet? I learnt most during my cadetships really

I think the requirement is only for senior officers, but I know trying to get in without one is pretty hopeless. Love to go on gas though

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd recommend trying to get a tankerman or gas certification if you ever get the chance. Good money in gas at least & specialisation is key

There's dozens of us :D what company are you sailing for? I'm with Maersk and their boxships.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Passed all exams up to Master Mariner, recently got my Chief ticket, but only got the two stripes of a 2nd.

Sailed with one Cap who had orders for the cadets to go ashore every port. Engineers were always running ashore, always envied them that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Deck or Engine? Our cadets usually ran ashore the moment we docked, didn't see them before departure again.

Singapore is great, love to go ashore there when I have a rare chance to do so. Hong Kong as well, and I like calling South Korea.
