Absolutely it can. But even with a single repeating theme, good artists have countless ways to make each pic unique. Just look at Bob Ross.
All right, poor choice of words on my part. I just believe that beautiful subjects shouldn't mean it is either simple or lacking in variety.
I don't like that expectation. We don't berate artists who only want to paint beautiful buildings or landscapes. Why is this different?
