Possibly a cost saving measure too tbh, they can just sell the potato chassis with some basic kit instead of having to do two separate ones
That requires people to have time to actually do the research. Lotta people don't when trying to just survive.
Breeders in general are really unnecessary at this point. Too many perfectly good pets in shelters.

It definitely does depend on the state. Some treat property bought before marriage differently than others, even if theyre otherwise similar

Some people use them to monitor every move of the people they live with. You may be using them for benign reasons, but not everyone does.
