Baby Boomers are now going into assisted living facilities and they're the last generation to have a substantial inheritance. The "Greatest Generation" was able to afford a more than comfortable life for their families on one income. Post WW II economy in the US was the best EVER. Thus, the Greatest Generation gave the Baby Boomers huge inheritances, who in turn lived it up, leaving little or nothing for subsequent generations.
