Of course, if a bad thing happens to a man anywhere ever, you can bet that MRAs in Imgur comments won't ever stop talking about it.

My understanding was that this used to be more common, based on shitty departmental guidelines that don't really exist anymore in the US.

I mean, I don't think either of us is having a great experience of other right now. By which I mean, you're not so great yourself, dude.

Right, and only black people can recognize racism, only women can be feminist, and so on. Of course.

I didn't say it makes others attack trans people. Just another example of Usersub really having it out for people who don't affect them.

Well, what's being normalized with this is scorn for trans folk. Either way, it's a bold claim to say that makes me part of the problem.

Oh, it's DEFINITELY a joke. I'm not saying "this isn't a joke." I'm saying "this is a joke based in transphobia which attacks trans people."

Cool cool cool, lovin' the bizarre transphobia topping the list. Keep it up, Usersub. Keep that shit right up.

Millions of people lead moral lives without God, that's my proof. What's your proof that God is necessary to lead a moral life?

Chuck Wendig's style is VERY love-it-or-hate-it. The choppy style in Aftermath can be distracting, but it makes for a great audiobook.

Kieran Gillen spins pure gold whenever he writes comics, and his work on Darth Vader is no exception.

Are you arguing that a god is still a necessary component for living a moral life? Because that's ridiculous.

And Grievous Bodily Harm, and Really Cool People, and Cruelty to Animals, and No Alcohol Lager.

I came down here to find everyone who made this joke and give them an upvote.

...lately?

This is what Nietzsche meant when he said "God is dead" in Thus Spake Zarathustra: God can no longer be the foundation for our morality.

...fulfillment. I had the same problem with the Franny section of Franny and Zooey, Raise High the Roofbeam, and most of 9 stories. 2/2

It has merit, but it's so frustrating. Like most Salinger, it's page after page of a character blaming the world for not making him feel 1/2

Nope. Colored Converse with a matching colored tie in a modern cut tux just looks pretty good, I think.

Eh, it's fine. Nothing against the show, just not a fan.

Drug dealer, converse, or drinking a mint julep.

Converse with a modern tux look great.

Superman vs. The Elites, by the way, is based on What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

OTOH while All-Star and Superman vs. The Elites are very good films, the comics are much better. Two of the best Supes stories ever written.

Under the Red Hood is a rare example of a film being better than the comic it's based on. It cuts out the unnecessary and improves the flow.

True story. If we're talking just the connected Snyderverse, you'd have to actually try pretty hard, Producers-style, to make a worse movie.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yeah. It was a perfect shot. It came from a fun, exciting movie. Then it cut back to the OTHER movie which was dour, frustrating and boring.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even the uncut version doesn't make sense. It still has the dumb "Martha" bit, a Supes without compassion, a dumb Lois, an awful Lex, etc

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Honestly? It was so much of a montage of unrelated scenes and characters talking past each other that I was pretty bored most of the time.
