Just to clarify, the coffee you get WILL be strong, this is essentially concentrated coffee, but it should NOT taste burt, metallic, or overly bitter.

There will be water left in the tank by the end, but the coffee you get out will not have that burnt taste. You can also put a paper aeropress filter over your grounds basket, if you want to reduce any particulate in the finished coffee, and it will also smooth out the flavor a bit. I had the exact same issues you have had when I got my first Moka pot, trust me; it takes a bit of fiddling to get used to. Once you have it locked in, though, you can get great results.

So, for the best results, here's what I recommend. Enough water in the tank to reach the pressure valve. Grounds should fill the basket after being allowed to settle, without being tamped. 10 to 1 by weight of water to grounds is a good rule of thumb. Pre-heat your water to boiling in the microwave, or however, while you fill your basket. Pot should go on the stove on medium heat, until it just starts to dispense, then reduce to low. Pull off the heat as soon as it starts to sputter.

I'm sorry you have had such bad experiences with Moka pots. They are, admittedly, more complicated to operate than, say, a drip machine, but if you know the proper procedure, the coffee they produce can be quite good, and doesn't take long at all. Youtube has plenty of videos that can teach you how to make good coffee with a Moka pot. Do a little research, experiment a little, and I'm sure you will come up with some results you can enjoy.

I'm aware of the origin of the term biscuit, but as it doesn't actually have any bearing on why they are still called that, since they are not baked twice, it is irrelevant. They are called that because people just continue to call them that. My reply wasn't really about the name, it was about the actual content of the video, i.e. how those cookies are eaten/meant to be eaten.

It's crazy enough to me that you all on the other side of the pond call cookies biscuits, but I have never seen anyone eat a cookie of that type in the way you first displayed. Of course the chocolate goes facing down, why would you not want to be tasting the chocolate? If you don't like chocolate, have a cookie without chocolate.

They turned out amazing! Super easy to make, and absolutely delicious. Just made them with store brand butter, and I can only imagine how much better they would be with the good stuff. x3

Fender bender actually describes a result of an accident: the fender of the car becoming damaged. Bingle & or Prang literally just sound like a toddler babbling.

I believe you underestimate the pressure to follow orders within the military. You will find no end of German soldiers during WWII who did horrible things because they were "Just following orders". Also, the prevalence of toxic elements in the military & police forces should not be underestimated, either.
