Hi! I'm a card magician et cardist from France, learning but also creating moves and tricks. What I especialy like is to learn unusual magic moves and create new tricks or effects using them. I started doing magic in august 2018 and from this day I've always practiced magic and cardistry at least 30 minutes per day. I would love to hear suggestions or comments about my performances but also giving tips or helping new card artists! Feel free to pm me. And if you're new to this world and want to get into it, never give up! It takes time and practice but it is always worth it: it is so satisfying to get a new skill down. Anyway, thanks for reading. Please remember to have a great day and be kind to others :) Vanonym.

Thanks a lot! Don't get me wrong, I did not spend 1 year and a half on this single trick ahah. I was just playing with it on and off, adding improvements step by step until that point where I felt like it was worth showing.

Thank you very much. Do you know about cardistry? I'm sure you would love it

Thanks! Yeah the video shows a clear flash, but for live performance this isn't an issue

Well then go on and make one yourself lol

Plus, after watching again, it's not out of the frame? I don't understand your remark.

My goal with this post was more to demonstrate an idea to other magicians, who know bery well that it's not a camera trick. I've other posts, more polished and addressed to laymens, with more care put into proving everything can be done live.

Noted! I'll try to post about that when I have more time

No, I don't have a card press. I don't find the need for a card press actually

Every card handler has preferences when it comes to thickness, but it does not really matter much. It's only a matter of taste, personnally I like both thin cards and thick, rigid cards.

This kind of cuts are actually easier to do when the deck is old and used!! Although if you're doing fans and stuff like that, new decks are easier to use, but cardistry can really be performed with any cards

That's also true! I have dozens of identical decks only because they tend to degrade with time.

Oh that's a great question. Althought this deck might seem standard, it's actually quite rare. But it still is normal paper cards. We do use things called 'trainers' from time to time, they are plastic block of the thickness of about 8 cards, used for... training. Some people explore more stange stuff. Would you be interested in a post about my special/favorite decks?

I would actially do that in a live performance, but for this video I wanted to show my move as it is

Thank you very much! Plus, great gif of a great magician

I like the respect you are showing, thanks a lot. I do not mind if you want to keep the message though!

I should have not done the 'fancy twist'๐Ÿ˜ญ it has nothing to do to the move! The card never goes to the bottom ;)

Never thought people would analyze my move so much lol. You're not totally right but the picture you posted is the showing the key to the move!

I'm so dumb, I forgot to show the rest of the cards.

It looks so painful, even with plastic knives, I don't know how you could endure that! Cards do not hurt that much... except when you cut yourself

Hey that's a nice gif

Don't worry, it's very common that I find cards under the furnitures when I'm cleaning the room... cards on the floor are beautiful, let them there!

Omg I did not even listened to the audio. I had my phone resting on my laptop, hence the loud fan noise. I'll make sure to turn them of next time so you can fully enjoy the sound of cards!
