I get the idea of leaving your phone at home. But it's often unrealistic in that you need to be able to communicate and navigate, etc. Is there a solution?
I just read something today saying that our best defense to fascism is humor and satire. Break down their sense of righteousness.They think they're big and strong and powerful? Oh, cute. Poor babies are literally afraid of people wearing glitter.
I'm so sorry that one terrible guy is so power-hungry that he's taking it out on trans folks. I have a quote from JVN on my whiteboard at work: "You have to create little pockets of joy in your life to take care of yourself." The world sucks right now, but I hope the wholesome parts of the internet can help keep you afloat 🩵 rooting for you, OP.
I also covered my dresser in stickers as a kid! Years later, parents carefully pried them off, cleaned it, & sold it
