I agree, I'm of the opinion that any country that large is only going to be able to stay together through lies, propaganda, and corruption. I would support North America turning into a more EU style structure where states/provinces are separate but work together on larger goals. But very few North Americans agree, so baring that, if the US wants to get "better", the GOP and Dems are both equally useless (though GOP is clearly the "Bad Cop" in this situation)
