You can also have up to 20 estus in DS1, you can upgrade your weapons to +15 (or +10 elemental) to allow a level 1 character to 4/5
they will miss you 90% of the time, and even if you fuck up you have estus that can be upgraded to fully heal anyone with <24 vit (3/x)
although most bosses couldn't be parried, you can roll and the iframes are generous enough that if you roll into the enemies weapon (2/x)
People always say DS1 was hard but if you had any modicum of skill in parrying you could beat every normal enemy with ease and (1/x)
