I listen when I drive to and back from work! Traffic doesn't bother me any more.
I hated this at first but realized down the road that it helps you imagine the environment greatly. 50 - 60 hours of audio each book btw.
It might be worth noting that I have not read a story book in over a decade before I started listening to this. The object descriptions help
So I am on book 4 at the moment but I have been listening to audio book. It will start off really slow but picks up really well by book 3.

I have watched entire series from beginning to the latest episode by the time I catch up to it... roughly 7 times now.
It is done extremely well and character are well developed if you can make it through first 50 episodes, you will love it
