There's a guy in my town who sits outside the local supermarket begging all day. He lives in a nicer house than me on the same street.
Hamas membership is less than 0.5% of the Palestinian population. That fact to IDF means that they only need to kill 200 Palestinians to maybe get 1 member of Hamas.
Difference is IDF is a military force that's supposed to be held accountable for war crimes, and Hamas is a terrorist organization of around 25k people. It does not represent the entire Palestinian population of approx 5 million people. Hamas attacks Israeli civilians, and IDF responds by attacking Palestinian civilians, not Hamas. And they're much better at killing civilians than the terrorists are, and then are being granted impunity with the justification that Palestinian's are the bad guys.
