Not every country stamps now. A lot is starting to be recorded digitally
And some let you buy citizenship at crazy prices! Like Malta!
Another reason is that some countries won't let you in if they see other certain country's stamp - a country they hate...
You can get an emergency passport, but it can take up to 48 hours and costs a lot. You will have missed your flight by then.
Often, yes. They just won't let you into a foreign country if they think it'll expire before you leave.
