Bring extra warm clothes and a fire starter. It drops down to 20F at night, and the air is too moist for firewood to stay burning. There is still a lot of snow on the trail around the lake as well.
As someone who drove across the country, I can confirm this country is HUGE, and there are so many different landscapes and climates you can experience within a couple days' drive, unless you live in Texas. That being said, people rarely travel outside of their home state or even the city, which leads to the ignorant mindset you have often heard about.

I was about 3-4k feet elevation, so there was practically no pollution there. Tripod is def a must have for this shot. Good luck :)
10 seconds at F1. 4, ISO 1600 with Sigma 30mm lens and Sony A7Rii. Not the best lens for this type photo but the only I got atm ?
I would pay good money to see more of your work. You should totally try to create your own animation series.
