Frigates won't deter a US invasion, nukes will. Not that we don't appreciate them and it's a good thing overall, but without some degree of MAD or the US imploding entirely the writing's on the wall.

The Commonwealth doesn't have particularly ironclad defense treaties, if I'm not mistaken. Like, we're all pals (thanks colonial trauma bonding!) but I don't think we've got anything ensconced in law re:mutual defense for the Commonwealth specifically. I would definitely expect some pitching in, but I would sleep more soundly if we had our own stockpile.
God damn I hope the UK or one of our other EU allies sells us here in Canada some nukes. If the US doesn't collapse into a civil war, that'll be the only way to keep them from invading.
Yeah, it's a retaining wall that's high enough to potentially kill or seriously injure a toddler if they fell off of it. If the kid were to tumble they'd probably be fine, but if they fell the wrong way from that height the likelihood of a serious injury or death is high enough that yeah, there should be a grown up within arms reach.
Of all the fake bullshit in the world, I'd much rather we all agree to believe something about people being kind to each other which probably didn't happen but we'd all like it to, rather than we all believe our own variety of divisive bullshit.
Is that another name for what I've seen called 'lumpsuckers'? They certainly look like it. Very cool fish and an absolute nightmare to try and keep since you need to basically refrigerate their tank, iirc. If this is a subspecies that isn't so hard to keep...
