I really like the exploration, so looking pretty is actually a huge part of it for me. But yeah, the progression and combat is meh.
It was mind blowing when it came out, but games like Witcher 3 have surpassed it sense. I still like it, but that could be nostalgia talking
Plus you can sell the same game like 50 times and not bother to fix it!

This isn’t a Switch exclusive, but Doom 2016 is amazing. LA Noire is pretty good if you like mystery. A ton of good Indies are on Switch too
I like 8-bit a lot, but I see your point. I can be gorgeous when done well, but a lot of inexperienced Indy devs just do it cuz it’s cheap.
