I'm pretty sure I'll pull the trigger on the one on Amazon. I can use this controller for another application. I think it is Anova

I actually cut the steaks, seasoned them and added thyme, butter and garlic, then vac sealed in my Food Saver. Then dropped in water

I am trying to get used to better meat. I grew up on shoe leather. I'm slowly acquiring a taste for more rare meat. It was good, though.

Thanks. I've heard avocado oil, grapeseed oil, and even lard... there definitely was no fishy taste though. I'll definitely pick some up.

Longer than 10 minutes? How long would you recommend?

That's exactly how I did it.

It's a regular crock pot and an ink-bird brand temp controller that turn it on and off to maintain a desired temperature.

Me too. I decided to buy a $30 temperature controller and connect it to a crock pot before I committed though. Glad I tried this.

MSG mixed into the flour. What made it taste like KFC was cooking it in a pressure cooker. It was amazing.

The pressure cooker is the key! Years ago I found a copycat recipe for KFC chicken which if I remember right was basically salt and pepper

Those are sweet pictures. So sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine the pain you must be going through. I hope you can find peace.
