Born in Ft Worth :)
Merry Christmas!
Maybe 100 clecos :)
MOSAIC also has a bunch of new rules I don’t have memorized.
Side by side seating for taking people flying for a more personal experience.
Where you flying out of and what do ya fly? I’m out of UT9.
Kinda wish I had built an 8 :P
BD-5J would have been awesome
Thanks!
Insane amount of time invested
Much appreciated!
We had an engine out 46min into flight one. That will get your blood pumping. Fuel line from the servo to the spider unscrewed itself…it now has torque seal on it.
I don’t follow your comment, please elaborate.
I can try and report back :) Oddly enough, I don’t think they have very fast computing power, but my iPad is insane while running Foreflight, the data is spot on and FAST.
I’ve flown LOTS of steam gauges, this one needs glass :)
“Hey Fred, what’s that mountain goat doing up here in the clouds?”
I plan on it, as it’s rated to +6/-3 G’s
Phase 1 complete, 56TT now.
Bought a pair specifically for this project :)
Well I was being a bit facetious :P
You win the comment of the day :)
Kinda, for every 10 rivets we drilled out one to redo it if it wasn’t perfect.
Basically like a boxer, flat 4 cylinder, Lycoming IO-390 Thunderbolt
Possibly, I’m scared to bring it there and have it get smoked by hail or some wild thunderstorm that always shows up.
I’m not smart I just followed the directions
IO-390 Thunderbolt (215hp) and max gross is 2050.
Congrats!! This has been quite the adventure, everything from incredible joy to epic frustration. Building it with dad was the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. Career Marine attack pilot then airline pilot, I got to hear story after story about his epic flying career. 484 combat missions, 2 DFC’s, 34 Air Medals, he was a stud. Sadly he passed suddenly before the first flight and never got to see it in the air.Had an engine out on flight 1, and I’m sure he was watching over us.
It’s a kit, I’m not smart enough to build a plane from scratch :)
That’s awesome!
