There are very very few differences compared to most other countries. Even accent wise there is very little diversity.
True. Its because the US has mostly existed in a time where travel and communication have been easier so our accent is more "globalized".
Sidenote: Do Canadians call it the midwest or do they just not have a name for it.
Most people in the midwest have irish or german heritage
It is by far the biggest in each though. There is simply no other language more valuable to know than english.
I dont disagree. I speak German as well, but for much of the general populace it is unnecessary and wouldnt be used enough to be retained.
As your native language, be 100% honest with yourself, would you see it as a necessity to learn another language?
If you spoke the language of business, music, entertainment, film, science, that tons of people learn so they can interact with these things
Anecdotal evidence means nothing. Feel free to research it yourself.
Correct
Avg for the congo is ~7inches. i dont know where you got that number
It's true. Studies have shown that height and penis size aren't correlated. The same way with the size of a woman and her vagina.
@OP Kent State or Kansas State? And Congrats!
A lot of places outside the US refer to North America and South America as one continent called. "The Americas" or "America".
Haha. I feel the same way with Dutch. Ive studied German for 4 years and english is my native language so I can understand a decent amount.
English is actually more romance language than germanic with only 26% or our words being German in root and 28% French and 28% Latin.
Dutch is the easiest. Actually German is the only germanic language that isnt in the first tier of languages in the language learning index.
