"Live action remakes" are like AI, n+1 military FPS, or gatcha games. Everyone on the internet seems to hate them, yet they continue to make billions.
#13 So the countries he has been insulting and berating, even threatening with invasion, almost every day of his presidency until now?
I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm relatively sure it mentions geographical places outside this area. It would be surprising if it didn't. The entire Mediterranean was one cultural region at the time, and there was regular contact with lands all the way to the Indus river, Oman, and even Ireland.
I'm worried that Europe is also too invested in Middle Eastern oil to refuse. Global warming is the main reason why we should stop relying on fossil fuels, but this exact scenario is the second most important reason. If your entire economy relies on a steady flow of cheap fuel, you severely limit your strategic flexibility.
I don't think it has been that low in my lifetime in Switzerland.
She's a bit of an...airhead.
Can't be accused of "insider trading" when you're using your insider knowledge to make money off of *bets* instead of stocks.
A lot of those sick people are in power in democracies. Yes, democracies at varying degrees of healthiness and functionality, but democracies nonetheless. So the general population is, at least partially, implying they are fine with rich pedophiles being in power. I'm not saying it would be easy to get them out of power, but that still means people would rather be ruled by pedophiles than put any effort into changing the situation.
I'm getting tired of the "he was put in place by foreign power" narrative. About two thirds of you Americans either voted for him or not against him *after he already had one presidency*. You knew what was coming, you made an informed decision. Russia or Iran or China didn't force him on you, you picked him, knowingly and willingly.
#32 I agree that news media shape public opinion through deliberate omission. But this piece in particular *is* very important news!
#3 If you think Dubaians would let Ranjeet into the bunker, you don't know Dubai very well.
#3 Me, a non-American, reading the headlines that are caused by the Americans but that are gonna be my problem.
#43 The US has emergency plans to collect taxes after a full-blown nuclear war. As long as there is something resembling the US, they're gonna collect taxes. Just destroying the IRS headquarters wouldn't do jack.

I was wondering where the implications of sacrifice, cannibalism, and shit like that came from all of a sudden. This explanation makes sense. I guess they're hoping people will be like "oh thank god our president didn't sacrifice and eat toddlers but only raped teenager girls" when the truth comes out.
For any laser more powerful than 5mW, you *need* to wear safety glasses while operating it. And not just the ones that sometimes come in the box, they're often useless. Don't blind yourself or others trying to fry doorbell cameras!
#32 But what people are saying is already "translated" into something you, the viewer, understand.
Good try, but that's a stag beetle...
I think it's more that he doesn't care. Why sue for defamation if the "defamation" doesn't change people's opinion of you at all.
#5 If I did this, I'd just be eating pizzas in the shower for six hours every day.
It's "fun" to map the political progress of the USA to that of Nazi Germany, which you can usually do 1:1. This corresponds largely to the Reichsbürgergesetz of 1936, in case you're wondering where we are on the timeline.
As a European, I feel like I might need to clarify: You *do* need a doctor's note after a certain amount of sick days. You're not allowed to just stay home for two years, claiming you have a cold.
Also a valid summary of Greek, Mesopotamian, and, if memory serves, Diné creation myths.
Although I'm pretty sure that first one was going in the drink.
Broken clock and all that.
Thank you, it's constantly bothering me when someone compares ICE to Gestapo when they're clearly doing the work of the SA during the rise of the NSDAP.
There's plenty of shady shit companies like Google do. But this is a complete nothing-burger. When I was in middle and high school in the 00s, we had Apple iMacs at the computer lab. We got them for free, Apple got kids who were used to working with Macs. It has been a thing for forever, and has largely been mutually beneficial.
The road to tyranny is paved with people telling you it won't be that bad, that they would go protest but they have work tomorrow, that tyranny is against the law so it won't happen, that it will all be over in four years, that they are also very angry, but there's nothing they can do.
I've never been in a romantic relationship, yet I constantly think that I seem to be better at being in a romantic relationship than 90% of people.
