I agree. But at the same time I did fully believe it without question. It felt like it made sense actually. And that says something really.

But also, I saw a TikTok of a US army person saying something about they pledge their oath to the country not the president so actually, as kind of a loophole, they don’t have to do what the president orders if it’s not in the best interest of the country itself - or something along those lines. Do you know anything about this?

Don’t feel bad. My dad had a stroke 6 years ago leaving him paralysed, and his wife of 35 years left him as soon as his medical negligence case paid him millions and she was fixing to take at least a 3rd of it. At least you loved and cared for him until the end.

I haven’t ever heard a single person say they condemn both sides of this war. Everyone is on one side or another. That’s what spurred my comment. Maybe this post wasn’t the most ideal place to vent due to it not being specifically “pro” anyone. But the post triggered this thought of mine and I shared it. I stand by what I’ve said.
If they’re too young to vote then, perhaps sadly, they don’t count. There was an election in Palestine, Hamas was elected. But my original comment isn’t talking about Palestinian OR Israeli civilians, they are all the victims. Hamas, and the Israeli government are both awful. If you pick a side based on who you think is “the least awful” you’re still supporting awful. That’s my point.
No. Obviously the general powerless Palestinian people are as much victims as the general powerless Israeli people. Neither one of those groups are doing wrong. It’s the Israeli government and Hamas who are doing the wrongs. And both parties are wrong. That’s my whole point.
