The first ever to deadlift 500kg, in fact!

Yeah, that’s what I remember it being, but could be wrong.

Was that for the POTUS account only, or his personal account too?

Within the Ruins, Bleed from Within, Stray From the Path are spme favorites. If you’re making a playlist from the comments, share it? :)

THANK YOU. Commented the same thing in another thread and got downvoted. ”Centrist republicans” are not a thing.

In exit polls, Trump had 93 % of self-identified republicans vote for him. That’s 3% more than 2016. This wasn’t thanks to republicans.

Lucid dreams are great, but once I got a case of sleep paralysis so terrifying that I got a body spasm to wake up, face first on the floor..

Lockdowns to stop a highly contagious, deadly virus from spreading and devastating communities. THAT'S facsism, not a police state. Got it.

I don’t get the tinnitus one. What ”soft spot in the back of my head”? Would love to silence my tinnitus even if only for a while...

I have an old 970, and I run on high settings and never dropped below 60 fps.

I had zero problems right up until the final bossfight. During the second phase (10-15 min in) the game crashed. FML.

Thank you for the read. As an astronomy major, this is really, really depressing.

Hate to break it to you, Australia's liberal party is super conservative.

No worries, this subject just riles me up as an astronomy major haha

This is NOT spacex being "better" at astronomy that ground based telescopes, they just don't seem to care if they ruin it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What are you even talking about? The Starlink satellites are ruining astronomy by destroying pictures telescopes take. They're not competing

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ground-based telescopes and space telescopes fill different purposes. The E-ELT wouldn't be getting built if it was useless.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ground based astronomy isn't old, you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

IT'S NOT AN EITHER OR. Starlink would still work even if they coated their satellites in non-reflective coating.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sure, but it has nothing to do with the original point I was trying to make - the ends don't justify the means if you're screwing science.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can't exactly send a team of mechanics to work on a satellite like you can on the ground if something goes wrong.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Development of the JWST isn't screwing over astronomy. It just has to be a perfect launch, as with all space telescopes.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And astronomy isn't "something random", it's an important field of science which they are ruining a vital part of if they're not careful.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah yes, screw over a whole field of science because "innovation". That seems like a great idea.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'M NOT SAYING THAT. Spacelink is a really cool idea. Implementing it without thinking of the consequences is really, really bad.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, but we should actively try to minimize the damage caused.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're definitely not getting my point. They could've done their thing AND gone through precautions to minimize damage. They didn't.
