The vanilla game was amazing, but mods kept me coming back. I also restarted a lot.

I did indulge in a wide variey of modding, but none of the mods changed much about gameplay. Armor mods. That's about it. House mods too.
At one point I had more than 100...

You're lucky. I finally broke the hold at about...1400, I think.
My brain does this too! You should make a typeface out of them and use it to send coded messages to friends and other close associates.
