It is a single payer system. That is just what you call a system that works this way. I'm not confused by anything other than you're inability to understand that. Nobody talks about it being a single payer system because we're farore interested in what is and isn't covered and the Conservative efforts to underfund it rather than the type of publicly funded system we have.
Single Payer isn't "Republican Terminology" it's a category of healthcare system. One way to have healthcare for everyone. One other way would be to just have every aspect of the system directly operated by the government, where all doctors are government employees. That is not what Canada has. The NHS is closer to that than what Canada has but still isn't.

I am Canadian. That is how the system works. The system in Ontario that pays for healthcare is OHIP, which stands for Ontario Health Insurance Program. Point to a source that says where something I said is wrong. Musk had nothing to do with the Liberals winning. We do have single payer healthcare in Canada. Doctors offices are frequently private businesses. We don't have for profit hospitals, but in theory we could. Healthcare is also entirely managed at the provincial level. The general model is basically that you have health insurance provided by the province. It's not for profit, but that is still what it is. You pay for it in taxes instead of premiums, but it's still insurance.
Apparently Lake Huron recently had 70% ice cover. So they do get a fair bit frozen.
