I agree with your outlook. I do think that mental attitude can definitely help, but I agree that too much focus on it implies that a bad outcome is due to a “weak” person who wasn’t “strong enough” to fight cancer. I always think about a local high school student & star softball player, active in her church and all teachers and students loved her. She was fit young, healthy, with the support of thousands. People had bumper stickers on their cars and everything to “pray for [name]” but she did

Exactly. No thanks to this nonsense, I buy the large box of Tide powder from Costco whenever it’s on sale for $20. Clothes get clean, and my high efficiency front load washer is now over 10 years old with no issues.
