This is your public profile. Write something about yourself! No.
There were and are plenty of elected weasels and sycophants. McConnell being a great example, as he openly blamed the attack at the capitol on Trump while simultaneously voting to acquit him. If he'd have had a backbone at all we wouldn't be here.
Based on the number of death threats from the same people that had attacked police officers and tried to kill elected officials just days before. You don't have to look hard, there was plenty of reporting on it.
Yes. It's why he's in office now. Republican Senators were terrorized into acquitting him when he was impeached.
Individually a Republican politician is entirely vulnerable to Trump and his sycophants. It's not about dirt. It's about death threats to them and their families.
They know the concept. A lack of confidence in the institutions and government is usually the underlying issue. Sometimes it seems reasonable and the rest of the time it's the obvious result of propaganda.
Most student loans are Federal loans not private loans.... this co-op sucks.
Yao made the NBA popular in China. If it wasn't him, it would have been someone else. This is why I don't blame Yao while recognizing his role.
I like Yao, but I don't like that his celebrity eventually resulted in the NBA completely selling out to CCP dictates.
I still have a clutch city pennant somewhere....
I'm in the Morgan Freeman "I don't give a shit" mood about it TBH.
Yup. Cousin on an aircraft carrier in the southern ocean was watching waves break over the deck..... Which is about 60ft, ~18M above the waterline. No thank you.
Always check your units.
It's a shame our representatives can't deal with immigration like adults.
My wife's vision is absolutely terrible and she has severe astigmatism. She sees so well at night (minus the terrible light streaking of headlights and such) I wouldn't have been surprised if her eyes shined in dark.
Trump's party's disfunction is their own damned fault and we shouldn't enable them even if it is temporarily to the disadvantage of the country.
6'9"?...... Nice.
I mean severe astigmatism really sucks practically today but those people happen to generally have better peripheral vision and better night vision. I'd like one of those in my group.
Everything I read was for possession of content or sharing of content produced by others. There's a difference, sure, but the whole situation sucks.
On a slightly more serious note I think Michael B. Jordan would make a decent MLK.
We really are. It can absolutely make our day/week/month/year/decade.
I did not care for it, but my favorite horror movie of the early 2000s was 'They'. It's ok to love movies other people don't like or may even actively loathe. :-)
There's a reason when you see donor lists that the majority of megacorporations donate to both parties. That way they win either way.
That list bit I know well. The stuff coming out of sanitary sewer treatment could easily be reused, for instance, instead of pumped into a river or stream. I know desal is expensive, but from my POV on the outside CA has shown no appetite to curtail heavy agricultural water use, so I (possibly in ignorance) immediately go to desal.
Oh, because it's been going on for nearly ten years already, that makes more sense!
I don't see it happening (mainly because it is so hard to do), but I'm interested.
There's been a ton of progress in that area fortunately. CA is also notoriously high cost and high red tape, which helps in some things and hurts in others.
