I installed a very high-end audio system (a/d/s separates, a/d/s amp and sub, Alpine deck) in a 1972 Dino 246 in 1990 for the owner of the shop to use his car as a demo vehicle. I made no permanent changes to the interior. Cool little car.

There are a lot of people who travel the world by bicycle and everything they own is on that bike. They get by with very little and do local work to earn traveling money. Or, these days, some are sponsored by companies that produce the touring/bikepacking bikes and gear in exchange for a blog or YT channel or both. That is something to do when you're young, if that's your thing. I call them professionally homeless. :D
I'm not advocating that you use Windows 11, but there are a few tools that easily disable the AI features. Flyoobe is one of them. It also will help you install Windows 11 on a system without a TPM 2.0 chip. I've done this on a few systems. One of the laptops was an HP workstation w/ a Xeon CPU, an Nvidia Quadro M5000M, 32GB of RAM, etc. Only had TPM 1.0 and it cost $3400.00 in 2017. Runs Windows 11 just fine. Hope this is useful information.

My comment was specific to the comment about the expansion in the 1800's being possible because of forced labor. That's it. I'm not arguing that expansion isn't possible. And railroads being feasible across the US is possible in a limited scope. Some routes just aren't gonna happen. Certain (large) parts of the US landscape aren't going to get serviced. There are huge areas with few inhabitants who still don't have fast Internet for the same reasons. They're too remote.
Why am I being down voted? China isn't a democracy. States are their own entities with their own budgets and governments in the USA. So, Nationwide HSR in the USA is going to require State Government cooperation. Just like the Interstate Highway project did and still does.
My point was that the expansion happened back then with forced labor. Without it, that expansion wouldn't have happened as quickly.

China can do it because they aren't a "Democracy" and don't have to deal with Governors of MAGA states.
The problem is that if the Federal Government insisted on installing one that was nationwide and went through many states, the many, many, many stupid people in this country would hate it and insist that it infringed on their rights and whatever else they would want to complain about. Governors of MAGA states would want their "cut" without contributing a god-damn thing. It'd be a complete shit-show. Good luck getting bordering states to agree on anything like this. My. 02

There are CEO's who are paid $100,000,000.00 a year. More than a few. 280-to-1 seems like too low of a ratio. Here's an example:In 2020, a company I worked paid their CEO $53,000,000.00 whilst I made about $70k. A lot of people at this company made this kind of money. A lot of people who work there make a lot more as well. The VP and above level folks made 7 figures on average. $70,000.00 x 280 = $19,600,000.00 - nowhere near $53M. What's the median salary in the US? It's about $62K.
I have the 8 DVD expanded edition where every movie is on 2 DVDs + plus all the special everythings for each movie, which are also on 2 DVDs. I realize this has been eclipsed by a Blu-Ray set, but I don't need to own it.
It's Idaho. Nothing to see here folks, move along. Seriously, there are a ton of White Supremacist cells in that state. It's mostly inhabited by them.
