I suggest not wearing white while eating those...they are so good, yet so messy.

We had ash everywhere in Portland. My brother had a black sports car that was solid grey. We carefully removed all the ash off all the cars. Had a bucket full of it for a long time.

You look like you were just surviving in the first one to outright thriving in the recent one. That is awesome.

Not unless it borrows a few more brain cells.

Took a 5 night vacay in Maui. It was restful.

I upvoted this because of the fantastic work, but I really wanted to downvote because large spiders are just freaky.

That would make a great upvote/downvote animation.

3 warnings? My company it would be two verbal, two written, meet with HR, performance improvement plan, and if you fail that you are out. So many documented steps before they let you go though. Layoffs would be 6 weeks, paid, on the bench while they work with you to try to find another role for you.

And the ones that do have a seat, you don't want to sit on at all.

Only problem I have with protest is that we need more in red states. People need to see that it isn't just Portland, or Denver, it is all over.

Nah. We arent talking Scrooge McDuck eith the wealth in a vault. The wealth is xecentralized, and would just move to the next CEO or family member. Systemic change is needed. I doubt killing them will make a difference. The powers that be dont care if people die. They care thst they continue to have access to make money.

They used to be able to get an exception for non citizens if they had or could acquire a secret or above security clearance, and not the normal clearance levels that a US citizen would have. Former US military personnel that are non citizens tend to get these type of jobs.

Being told not to use Wiki as a source is no different than my generation (x) being told not to use encyclopedias as sources once we got to high school and beyond. You could use good old Encyclopedia Britanica as a starting point, but it was only just that. You will never get the full picture from a wiki, but they are a great place to start the journey.

The Lincoln county sheriffs office has condemned the letter. Officials that have received it all have as well.

Makes me sad, I grew up in Oregon, and love that part of the coast. Thankfully people are reporting it and not putting up with it.

Yeah I ended up getting a portal blue ray player that feeds through USB. I rarely use it so that's fine.

They used to have computer "summer camps" for kids to learn programming back when the TRS 80 and other Tandy computers were a thing. I used to buy their component cables and stuff because they were better than the name brand stuff. I might still have a set of the gold label ones, not that I have much to use them with these days.

Dang Clark County WA is lame, no sticker in the envelope. I sent mine in yesterday. D all the way. Or in Washington state ballot terms, "Prefers democratic party" since you don't register a party here.

I sent my ballot in today...blue all the way.

I passed one on the freeway the other day. The pictures do them a disservice, they are even uglier in reality.

Yep, about a decade ago I worked at Intel, as a contractor, and they had a cost per chip of about $1 that covers everything to produce it, including R&D. They had such large economies of scale that the price per chip was kept low. Back then they would sell them at $50 a chip in batches of 1000 to wholesalers. Who then sell them to retailers for much higher prices and then they get to you at $1000 per chip. Crazy stuff.

Many Nazi's that weren't directly responsible for war crimes (and probably a few that were) were assimilated into a lot of countries, after the war, intentionally. Especially scientific experts, like rocket and computer scientist. The west grabbed everyone they could from Nazi Germany, and the Russians grabbed the rest.

I'm sure many of them kept their Nazi ideals, even if in secret.

As an 80's kid this is what I think of when I hear Cobra.

I'm 51 and mines mostly still dark, but it's balding (sigh). I think the next haircut is going to be where I have them either do a two all the way around, and or a razor to the top.

You are correct, there are statements that people took literally or twist and misuse or misunderstand. Many churches don't care about history and how it fits into the larger narrative of society, which is too bad as it helps to understand the times at which things were written. It helps provide missing context. It's hard enough reading in the ancient Greek and looking at what was said directly. And then pastors have to try and make it applicable to modern life...fun stuff.
