You do good work. Opossum scarf I got from you some years back has been iconic with the kids on my school bus, even put one of the babies on my hat.
I am of the happy happy! Usually the middleschoolers just ignore me, maybe complain at times (especially if there's a substitute driver instead of me)... So this makes me very happy!
Given I am apparently not technically inclined enough to figure out how to add the image to the post after having gone public... Here is a quick snap of myself for comparison. Scarf and Hat (gloves not visible)
The student gave it to me as this! was quite a bit of a surprise. Here was friday afternoon before a long weekend, and they come on and give it to me all happy. This of course meant I was happy and humming along for the ride!
#3 "Once they were someone, a person, once they were among the people... but the people see them no more, but a beast, but a monster scarred, for they fear the change, they fear what is no longer the image forced upon them."
Not surprising, we've bled a lot of staff across the schools because of how bad the kids are being. Doesn't help that the school admin is rarely backing the staff, far more important to keep the kids in the seats for attendance purposes... All topped by parents who would rather believe anything their kid says than the school staff, even when (in my case) there is bus recordings of the bad behavior. Nope, clearly we're just 'targeting' those kids rather than trying to do our jobs.
...another reason i am a horrible person... the number of times i put down what excited friends because it wasnt of interest to me... again and again... and my attempts to make amends mean nothing with how many times i did it...
dungeons the dragoning: 40k, seventh edition (bit of a joke, kitbash of a few systems, wonky lore, and questionable balance... actually made for some fun games though)
yes, but bit of maturity difference between college and kindergardeners. to many times has the phrase "do not lick other students" been said on the bus this year...
presumably the door is a seam. regardless solution remains: window can not be problem if car opened like tin can.
clearly this means the firefighters will have to skip straight to jaws of life: remove entire door
yep, most classes here are at least 40, except with so much staff shortages it's not uncommon for the principle to have to teach a class... and classes having to be merged
meanwhile... if we so much as intervene to break up a fight we have to worry about hr firing us before we finish the run, while the school will ignore the 9+ writeups of said being violent, because it's more important to keep the seat filled for attendance than to address significant discipline issues... had a kid that didn't get removed from bus despite 11+ writeups until they punched someones tooth out, at which point it was still only the bus they were removed from.
there was once that they put a bus monitor on a route, the reason being a child got hurt. was a little kindergardener and their friend, had a picture their teacher gave them, glass picture frame... despite being told not to they got it out on bus, dropped it, and then had idea to avoid trouble to try picking up the pieces... within 24 hours of the injury form being filled there was a bus monitor authorized for the route, despite the fuss hr had been making for months.
if only it was '50 screaming assholes', just this morning was over 60 elementry kids. three tier around here so also do a highschool and middle before even getting to them. frequently get up to 70 on elementry run... so its an absolute madness three to a seat, and somehow its my duty to keep them all under control while buckled in driving the bus
well, i mean, at least the bus hasn't broken down in the middle of runs yet this year so that is at least some improvement. on the other hand...
meanwhile the elementary kids on bus today were yelling, standing in the aisle, throwing trash around, and hitting each other. oh, and yelling curses at me for daring to tell them to sit down. six incident forms filled, two more to go, and not a single thing will be done because 'we don't know what their home life is like'... while the school still holds me accountable for ensuring 'safe and reliable transportation'
wish it would snow here... been years since it was last seen here.
ive gone through four therapists over the years at this point, the net result being in an even worse mental state than before. i keep hoping itll get better, but it's been over 6 years since things fell apart, instead my memory is swiss cheese and the 'happy' memories i was clinging to turned out to be fabrications/distortions. thank you for the concern though.
unfortunately i know people dont like dealing with me, i went months before anyone noticed i wasnt even around. im suppose to be useful, but i wasnt, even the friend i cared most for cut ties because of how horrid i am. most remember me for the problems i caused. i try to be better but it doesnt matter, im abusive, toxic, emotionally draining, and narcissistic, and i tried but kept failing to make amends. so i sit here in the dark, afraid, that if i trust again itll become another dagger.

Love how these people think they're being "nice" with no regard to the fact they are a complete an utter asshole to every single driver behind them. Best part is the time I saw one of these "nice" drivers who had not 10 min earlier RAN THE STOPSIGN OF MY SCHOOL BUS.
#3 I am fairly sure there is a number that would get a great laugh out of it or find some way to have a hilarious interaction if the people on the internet are anything to go by
I really didn't like how they 'simplified' the kingdom building so much, a computer game was the PERFECT environment to be able to actually implement the full system... instead of what we got that feels more like a small minigame tacked on
Extra if it's "PvPvE" but they do basically nothing to develop the "vE" and rely almost entirely on players creating the difficulty for each other from how lackluster the remaining content is.
I made the mistake of a 'SGD' degree (Simulation and Game Development)... I now drive a school bus for 20$/hr, though at least was family funded community college so no student debt.
meanwhile... I've heard delusional people calling out "Waltz should be in prison for what he's done!" (while not actually elaborating what should be prison worthy, also trying their hardest to make out that he's not actually a real working man or anything)
