Which is exactly why I was not surprised by any of this, except in so much that it didn't happen sooner.
Its been my experience that ppl who really love hot dogs love them with just a bun. They can eat more of them without the toppings getting in the way. Also IME, people who eat them with all the toppings just like to eat the toppings. Im in all 3 camps. I love a plain one and stacked ones.
The gods won't let me so I gave up. I tried a bunch of ways but nothing worked. Im kinda glad cuz I started to see things differently when I realized the gods wanted to torture me as long as possible. Im battling cancer now at 47. Slow and unpleasant but I still dont want to kill myself. My heart aches so much when I think of those who have lost to suicide.
Tbh, this movie shaped my worldview probably more than any other. I came to several realizations. Corporations are evil af, which led me into punk. Technology can be used to ffuck over everyone, which led me to be a programmer. The world is full of greedy psychopaths only looking out for themselves, which led me to be anarchist.

This is it. My mental health was shit. I started singing all sorts of happy songs as a way of being a dick to myself and my outlook became happy. It stuck and here i am 35 years later singing happy songs, making my anger useful.

I don't have to nitpick to understand the sentiment. Im as unitarian as can be and what i do is assume they mean "higher power." That would encompass most religions. He is talking about things in relatable way. Relatable by who he is talking to, his constituents (im one) and others. Nitpicking shit like this lost dems quite a few elections.
I think he fully understands the role of jesters.

Growing up, my closest friends were queer. They stayed far away from any study. The fucked up shit they did with aids "research" was too fresh in ppl's minds.
As someone currently going through chemo, i don't care. I waant this to be real. In the years since my diagnosis, i have met several people who have been left due to their diagnosis. I tried to be friends with them all.
