To see a god or to be in "heaven or hell". Religion was put on place to put people at ease of death cause it is "unknown" what happens.

So where does the energy go? Well it's stored in the molecules of your corpse, so if you get cremated the last energy of you gets radiated-
Our bodies burn energy everyday to keep us alive(not going to go into what things) but when we are dead there is no more energy being burned
