Most of your gradient effects are 3 to 5 steps, so they have hard lines, if you're cell shading you could choose a single dark value.
I would experiment with digital brushes. Do a lot more real life practice to understand shadows beyond simple gradients as well.
The cybermonk is the best piece you have here because of its flat colors. It holds a stronger form of design by focusing on shape and value.
