They basically decided for themselves that they no longer wanted to be in that toxic environment. I had just been doing my best to make sure I had everything in place when the decision came ( got me a good job and a good guy to show a good example, bought myself a house with room for them and made sure they knew my home was one of acceptance and understanding).
Oh don't worry. I have a great example of what a partner should be and how to treat each other with respect. He's doing an amazing job as a stepdad!
