If there was a legitimate legal case to be made, an actual high-profile law firm would handle it. Instead, Rudy in front of a landscaper.

There is no evidence of large scale irregularities.

I'm guessing you need color vision to get the joke

To be fair Obama / Biden oversaw an important step in getting more people insured. The current White House is currently suing to stop it.

I'm no expert but I doubt your $900/hr jetsetter types are being trafficked. Certainly an EXTREMELY problematic industry to support tho.

OP said "frequent". I didn't know how many hours or visits that equates to. He later said it was 1-2 visits/mo but not how many hours...?

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 8

If I did something 1-2x a month I wouldn't use the verb "frequent", & I assume a visit could be > 1hr? 3 hours could be 1 visit?

$500 an hour 3x/wk is $78,000 per year. $900 1x/wk is $46,800. That might be "cheaper than you thought", but it's not like it's cheap.

You don't sound insane at all. Your situation is difficult and complicated. Solving it will be uncomfortable. Better than not solving it!

Lived in MI my whole life and never got so far out on a Great Lake that I couldn't see land anywhere until I was ~40. Pretty powerful.

The Obamacare laws placed all manner of regulations on insurers, including more (but not nearly enough) latitude to negotiate rx prices

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Your problem there is with drug manufacturers, not insurers. Insurance companies are a check on drug prices in fact.

Exec salaries are ludicrous but not more so than other industries with companies that large. Insurance companies are enormous.

Total administrative costs are capped by the Obamacare laws, so overhead can't exceed a certain proportion of premiums

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Health insurance in general is not a particularly profitable industry, and a mandated % of premiums must go to providing care

What does this literally mean?

Some downvotes are pro- Trump, but some are "no politics on Imgur"

It's not pure ignorance at all. It's what people have heard from leadership and their pet media outlet.

JFK and Stalin: "Who invited the strippers?" Me and Dale: "WE invited the strippers, JFK and Stalin. "

Look at naive me, hoping I misunderstood you.

It's more than that. People have a tendency to filter out objects in their mirrors that aren't cars. Motorcycles get hit in daylight often.

You're ok w potentially causing injury or death, so long as you perceive a sufficient portion of the target group to be idiots?

Not really a double standard if one behavior is annoying and the other is lethal
