source: ive worked for a big european car manufacturer that would regularly compare their electric cars to Tesla regarding certain KPIs
they may have been around that long, but most manufacturers actually never bothered with serious production until Tesla came and did it
before tesla. And spacex made space travel alot less expensive. I dont get how it's not obvious that these things actually help humanity

Both of his companies in spacex and tesla are pioneers in their fields, and he is the main contributor to that fact.
Musk in that list makes no sense to me. Most things Musk works on are actually humanity saving eg. spacetravel, energy, ...
e.g. without Tesla most car companies would still argue for combustion engines.
I dont get the Elon hate tbh. He tackles some of the most important issues of our time and spends alot more money on it than anybody would.
