For a CEO to do that is a pretty odd duck. Bill Gates gets similar credit for Malaria work, and much of that was post-retirement.
Not to say that he doesn't consider it at all. But many of his projects are not expected to turn profits, they just solve problems.
Happily impressed with both. I am willing to give him credit for being a CEO that went in more for advancement than profit.
I'm personally more interested in pushing technology and scientific advancement, but if your metric of importance is "profit" that's fine.
