I post spicy hot takes, and snarky cold takes people interpret as spicy. I run some tf2 servers too, feel free to find them. I also hate gifs on imgur for one simple fact: they take 10 years to load. Get this to the front page and I'll reply.

Early into the war I said that Ukraine couldnt afford to take on a counter offensive into russian territory as it would shift the optics of the war from underdog defender vs bully oppressor towards a tit for tat which no country would want to get involved in. But after 2 years of overwhelming evidence of Russian war crimes, I think that ship has sailed and Ukraine would retain any and all support even if they marched right up to Moscow.

So about $50-100k i'd say

Probably quite a bit. The tunnel's structure needs to be repaired, equipment and materials need to be delivered to site, plus the rail line needs to be shut down for the entire repair.

I tried talking to an american who voted republican. They tried to say "oh but this is mostly gang on gang crime, if you dont include that then its much better".

Sounded like massive copium to me.

Still doesn't change the fact that it's entirely plausible that everyone who knew was in on it

Ok, fair, but still a fair number of people had to have known it was going up there. Can you imagine the consequences of sending up "Lt. GunNut and his 8kg of undeclared firearms"? Ik, exaggeration, but the point is that the rocket's cargo has to be, at some point, fully inventoried.

I refuse to believe that nobody knew about this. IIRC even half a kilo of unaccounted for mass on a rocket can be enough to compromise a mission, even one as inane as "go to the ISS and back". More than just two people had to be involved. However I do believe that everyone involved kept their trap shut for either shits and/or gigs.

*I'd like to solve the puzzle!*

Moving is not an option - every land lord demands multiple weeks of rent as a deposit before even CONSIDERING your application, there's a lack of supply so competition is fierce, and when rent is set so high it takes up half your pay, how are you expected to come up with security deposit, first 2 to 4 weeks rent, pet deposit, removalists, and cleaning of the old place AND the time off work required to orchestrate this AND redirecting mail + utilities.

I mean when you isolate my gripe to this one thing then sure, I'm the asshole. But I'm talking a more broader picture. Why are houses commodities and not treated as basic human rights? Why is it legal to profiteer off of something as basic as shelter? I think it is extremely immoral to be a landlord as a baseline, and anything beyond that is icing on the cake

The problem is that the people with the power to fix these problems are the same people who are benefiting the most from these problems. If you're making money hand over fist from mass poverty, you aren't experiencing poverty first hand, and so besides morality, why would you change anything? The status quo feeds you and entertains you. So maintain it. It sucks but it's reality.

no but i've also never owned 4 or 5 domeciles and decided that i need to also charge a small family over $700 a week for a roof over their heads.

pet deposits are fucking stupid, you're already charging people over half their paycheck before utilities, fuck off. if i could legally commit genocide against any three groups of people, landlords would be group 1 and 2. And 3 would probably be career complainers.

Buying that game is not funding hate. At least not directly. And indirect funding doesn't count. Taxes pay for military spending, which goes into manufacturing weapons which take lives. By your logic all tax payers are murderers. Your clearly do not know who your enemies are. But I'm most certainly not /Your/ (explicitly, as an individual, you) ally. Have a good day, if you can even recognise good.

The fact you're dismissing the point of "there's no justification to harassment" proves you as an individual are just as twisted and fucked up as the people you claim to fight against. As the folks on reddit would say, everyone's the asshole

Never said that. Said you can't use the fact you get harassed by party A as an excuse to harass party B. You have an enemy. That enemy is not me nor is it the people who play a video game. Your enemy is a person who spends their wealth undermining trans rights. Your enemy is J.K.Rowling, not the people playing a game she didn't have any creative input for, short of inventing the IP it's based off of.

Are you trying to say that you're somehow a part of a hidden majority of trans people who don't practise hypocriticsm by harassing others and that the ones that do doxx and harass innocent streamers who just want to play a video game are a minority of bad faith actors? I disagree, I find this hypocritical behaviour to be the normal, not the exception

Don't get me wrong, I fully sympathize with your plight, and it's getting to the point where to be trans in america in the current year is to be black in america in the 19th century, except with less slavery and more shootings. And while I may have several trans friends, I find my sympathy falling apart when the same group of people complaining that they face a lifetime of harassment, proceed to harass people over something as minor as liking a video game that happens to pay out a terf.

Yeah twitch is the more likely platform for me, I've at least got affiliate on it already but even then as an Aussie my options are to stream at 3am to catch the most viewers or slowly build up a cult following of my own. It's not easy to do on my own while working a full time job as most of my free time is spent getting to or from work

The french had an elegant solution for such a problem...

Man got his marching orders on his 18th? I got mine a day before, and it wasn't even an eviction notice. I was just pushed out the door with no warning, no phone credit, no charge, no money and only shorts and a singlet.

Welcome to the human race. Assholes will exist, no matter what. The best you can do is mitigate their damage. And unfortunately we're not allowed to lock them up and throw away the key anymore.

I'm past my prime in terms of reaction speed so esports is out of the question, i'd have to start from the ground up in a space that's now oversaturated with competitors so content creation is out of the question, and id be doing all this in an unforgiving economy. Much easier to do it when YouTube still gave out ad revenue to any tom, dick or harry and rent for a 3 bedroom house was no more than $400 a week.

at that point why not just use really thick plastic, like the kind they use in police stations or childrens play spaces at mcdonalds? Cheap as fuck, still transparent, a little more annoying to clean but it also is far more flexible than glass, making it ideal for a moving part such as a door.

I mean i'd settle for mid point. I don't need 6 figures, i'm happy with something around the $40k mark, and i'd probably be able to be at that point had I not had every opportunity stolen from me by my bong whore of a mother and her crack dealer of a husband.
