All the drug rehab programs in the world won't make you stop taking drugs. If you're an addict and want to quit you have to REALLY want to quit. You have to reach deep down into your soul everyday second of every minute of every hour of every day and tell yourself "NO" "I will not get high today". "I will not lie, cheat, steal, or prostitute myself out for that next fix" You have to want it more than wanting the fix. If you were willing to do anything just for that few minutes of euphoric feeling then you must be more willing to do anything to quite that need. I've been there and yes it's absolute hell to quit but you can do it. After 2 years I still struggle with the cravings for morphine and dilaudid (my DOC) but I tell myself that I don't want to be that piece of shit person, who will do anything for that fix again. I tell myself that I enjoy a life free of the vicious circle of the chase. I tell myself I don't want to die that way anymore because dying that way (suffering from the drug chase) is a hell of a lot worse than living free of that chase.
