It's awkward to just write stuff about yourself, I'd rather just answer questions if you're curious about something.

I understand the point of the whole "the more people who know this, the more powerful they become, so I can't tell anyone" but I also often argue if the was even a baseline, neutral, not actively shitty dad then so many of his kids wouldn't have defected the moment they had the opportunity to hate him openly

I run a group that educates people about PTSD and the first activity I have people do is filling out a small representation of their PTSD. We then compare how differently each other's experiences present to show how valid all our experiences are.
The premise for Fable for the End of the World by Ava Reid is basically the logical next steps of what this would look like
As a therapist: Never feel bad about sharing trauma. It's only trauma dumping if you're sharing traumatic information with someone who is unprepared to receive it and/or lacks the tools to emotionally handle it. Your therapist should be bothAs someone who also copes with trauma through humor: I'm sure your stories are absolutely ha-ha, but the therapist understands the reason behind them and is providing the empathy you need

You can work 20 minutes here, 20 minutes there, and pace yourself. For others, energy comes in tides. Then the tide is high you complete vast amounts of work, when it's low you need to rest. Neither is better than the other. No one expects the ocean to be constant, nor rivers to come in waves. Love you for who you are

I feel like there's got to be a certain level of attractiveness that's required because I get a lot of "I don't think about you that way" from men regardless

A guy sent me a nude and my response was "cool watch!" It took telling this story to several men, and them being horrified, before I realized why that wasn't a great response

You don't have to come in to class to take it. It's online, open for a certain duration, you complete it within that timeframe at your pace

I'm genuinely surprised not one person that I could find made a joke about Sentinel Island being the worst place to visit
I volunteered with them for over a year and it was some of the most fulfilling work I've done in Mental Health
