It's up to the drivers on the road to choose a speed that allows them to stop in time. Those cars didn't materialize out of the ether.
To clarify: your answer implied that being used to those conditions means you don't need to slow down. Those people clearly needed to.
If by "unphased by it" you mean "idiotic hazards to yourself and others," then sure.

Have you ever listened to two different orchestras playing the same piece? The conductor's interpretation can make a huge difference.
Mmm, cause things like "with weight but bouncy" or "make the rests sound like expectant pauses" are super easy to notate every few bars. :/

Also, if you watch the video she's showing syncopations and hemiolas, and there are changing time signatures.
She's obviously playing with a group she's comfortable with and music they all know. This is the part where she does all the interpreting.
She's not there to give beats. I can see the tempo in her body 80% of the time, & the musicians are perfectly capable of filling in the rest
