Berserk being far more dark than HxH
The Berserk movies & series (I say that despite the animation being that 3D model crap) Also Hunter x Hunter (2011 version) Both are dark.

Shitty, hopefully they drop a patch soon for that, like in game resize options.
FF main title have their own universe so it's not like you have to catch up on story. Combat is more action based if you like that. It's fun
If your TV has video options like changing from Wide/Normal/Zoom, try setting it to normal.
It gets more linear after chapter 9 so feel free to progress the main story if you're getting burnt out.
Think kingdom hearts style combat, if you've played it
You can turn on wait mode in the options menu which lets you take time for choices in combat, doesnt work while hanging which sucks.
