We use heavy duty magnets to find hvac if it comes to that. Plus I have a Franklin stud finder that helps. Honestly drywall is easy to repair & fairly cheap is why no one really cares. I'm a cabinet installer though and drywallers don't really like us :) we don't try to damage walls, it just happens

That's what taxes do no? Basic universal income so everyone has a chance to survive & that money goes back into circulation till it's taxed back to the gov. We put a plywood french cleat on wall & hang cabs off of that, then we screw cabs into studs (usually supposed to have backing but contractors never do..) However we do commercial millwork not residential!
