It's interesting seeing this on here, I saw it on Instagram a few days ago and it was full of a bunch of misogynist mouthbreathers talking about how unimpressive it is. Saying things like "I'd like to see her try that in a contact league" or "of course you can get away with doing moves like that if you're playing against girls" and a lot of "yeah ,she wouldn't last a day playing against men. Her head is down the whole time, she doesn't have any situational awareness"

Report it to who though? Let's assume that one good cop exists and really believes in making the system better, and cares more for the community than himself or his career. If the rest of the system is broken and corrupt there's literally no way for him to fix it through pepper channels. At best he'll be kept in a shitty position where he can't enact any change, at worst he might be fired or killed by other corrupt cops. Definitely not defending cops as a whole, but I think there's more nuance.
As someone who works in a Planetarium that has an exhibit on exactly this, the answer is the sun.
The way I see it is the half assed scribbles are how you get the good art to appreciate. All the people doing cool art started out as some kid spraying complete garbage somewhere. There's a couple taggers in my city that I look out for their names and I've been seeing them get better for years now. It's kind of cool to see their skills grow in real time.
And then there's the other contingent of "normal" people that likes seeing the tags and treats it almost like birdwatching. My wife and I are always pointing out tags that we like or when new ones go up. To me a city without tags feels like a boring sterile suburb and it looks better with them.

@op I too live in an at will state and got fired for a dumb reason. It doesn't hurt to try anyways. When I applied for it they asked if I had been on any sort of warning or improvement plan. The company 1. Didn't give me a chance to improve and fix their perceived problem and 2. Didn't keep good records to show their defense. So it got ruled in my favor automatically. You may still have a decent case, and it only costs time to try.
It's definitely what they're used to, I have two shop cats turned house cats. They were fine around all sorts of heavy machinery, they'd stand on my workbench and watch me run the table saw or CNC. They knew which tools they could climb on and which ones they'd get in trouble for because they were dangerous. But now they've been in the house for a couple years and they're at chip bag status.

Totally understand the feeling. Plenty of friends have referred to me as an ally, and I would definitely consider myself one, but saying it myself feels akin to "I can't be racist, I have a black friend". That and it feels congratulatory for what should just be the default. Brains are weird.

I have been trying to read this book for years "the ADHD effect on marriage", but keep adhd'ing it away and not finishing it. But my non ADHD wife read it and highly recommends it. Our relationship improved quite a bit after she read it and learned how to work with my brain better, which in turn helped me a lot with learning how to work with my own brain better.
