I actually really like the look of that actor. Ever since Friday Night Lights. :D

It's what I looked like at 140lbs. My shape is similar to hers w/ more boobs/butt. I think 140 - 150 would be ideal for me.

I think we may disagree on what is/isn't moral. That is, if your position is that tax is theft.

Those three things I mentioned are very entirely different concepts. Not the same at all.

Ah, we'd probably read it together then discuss it with his therapist. Hopefully, it can be helpful to him. Sounds great. :D

Oh, neat! Thank you. I'll have to give them a lookup when I'm able. :D

He's 14 and on the spectrum. Social, but cautious with anxiety issues. Author of that book? It still can be helpful.

Author? I may try looking it up in the library when I have time.

In between, I try to help him understand and process the things that happen in the world, so he can eventually do it on his own.

My son has severe anxiety over many things; Being shot by police is a real fear of his. I have to keep him from watching the news too much.

Are you using race to be synonymous w/ personality/behavioral traits? That would be murky water, if so.

If black people are routinely discriminated against across the country for many generations, that has an effect, especially culturally.

But that IS culture at work. They're both part of a group that has been oppressed CULTURALLY. They just happen to be apart of the same group

I don't understand what you mean by racial differences. Do you mean CULTURAL differences? That can heavily influence someone's personality.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No. It's not tied to a specific ethnic group, more how someone perceives the world. If someone is racist they will likely raise racists.

People w/ an ideological worldview will traditionally raise their family to share the same views and values.

That blanket statement is your point at work. Currently, people are having a difficult time cooperating BECAUSE of prejudicial ideologies.

has had a generational effect that can still be seen today w/ how communities & families have evolved over the short time.

nothing to raise fuss about or it's not worth attempting to figure out either. Or that America has figured its 'shit' out when prejudice

It's more about creating a dialogue about the reason, coming up w/ nuanced solutions, & seeing it through. Instead of pretending there's

I am a minority. I have had my rights violated & ignored. Difficult to prove. I have lived in minority communities. It's very common-place.

Racial discrimination, bigotry, prejudice, & oppression. Right violations are more likely when these aspects are present. We all have rights
